Privacy Policy
Business Card Intelligence software - effective date: August 14, 2026
This privacy policy explains how Princeton IT Services, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “Princeton”) handles any personal information in connection with the Business Card Intelligence software (the “Software”). The Software is deployed into and runs entirely within your organization’s own cloud environment. This policy covers the Software itself. It does not cover the Business Card Intelligence marketing website at bizcardiq.com, which is described in a separate website privacy notice.
What personal information do we collect?
Through the Software, Princeton does not collect, receive, or store any personal information. The Software runs inside your organization’s own tenant. The business cards you scan, the lead records created from them, and the follow-up drafts are all created and stored there, and Princeton has no access to them.
How do we use your information?
Within your organization’s tenant, the Software processes scanned business cards to extract contact details, create lead records, and generate follow-up drafts for your team to review and send. This processing takes place entirely under your organization’s control. Princeton does not receive, access, or use this data, and does not use it for any purpose of its own.
A note about the product
Business Card Intelligence is deployed into your own organization’s cloud environment. Business cards you scan, the leads created from them, and the follow-up drafts all stay within your organization’s tenant. We do not have access to that data, and we do not store it. Your organization controls it. If your details were captured on a business card by an organization using our software, please contact that organization — we cannot access or act on that data ourselves.
Do we use cookies?
The Software does not use cookies to track you. It uses only the functional cookies strictly necessary for signing you in and keeping your session secure, along with on-device storage that lets the app work offline. It does not use analytics, advertising, or any other tracking technologies of any kind.
Third-party disclosure
Because Princeton does not receive or hold any personal information processed by the Software, Princeton does not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share it — Princeton has no access to it. Within your organization’s tenant, the Software uses Microsoft cloud services (such as Microsoft Entra ID, SharePoint, and Azure AI services) under your organization’s own agreement with Microsoft; that data stays in your tenant and is not shared with Princeton.
Data retention
Princeton does not retain any personal information processed by the Software, because it never receives it. All data created by the Software stays within your organization’s tenant, and your organization decides how long it is kept and when it is deleted.
Your choices and rights
Because your organization controls the data the Software processes, requests to access, correct, or delete personal information held in the Software should be directed to that organization, which acts as the data controller. If your details were captured on a business card by an organization using the Software, please contact that organization directly. For questions about this policy, you can email us at privacy@princetonits.com. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA (California), including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
California privacy (CCPA)
Princeton does not collect, sell, or share personal information through the Software. Requests regarding personal information processed by the Software should be directed to the organization operating it, which acts as the business or controller under California and other US state privacy laws.
Children’s privacy
The Software is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. Princeton has no access to the data processed by the Software and does not collect personal information through it, from anyone, including children. Any personal data within the Software is controlled by your organization, which is responsible for its lawful use.
Data security
The Software is designed so that all data stays within your organization’s own cloud tenant, protected by your organization’s cloud security controls and identity management. Princeton applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to the Software it provides. Because Princeton does not hold or have access to your data, that data is not exposed through Princeton.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted on this page.
